Meet Miss Bubble Seashell



 



Bubble is a 14 yr old, 12 lb Toy Poodle SPAYED FEMALE. She is also microchipped, vaccinated, free of parasites and has had a dental cleaning and senior labwork.



 



Bubble comes to us from our friends at Encina Veterinary Hospital where she was taken as a surrender by a staff member when her owner brought her in for euthanasia for "being old"



 



Bubble is a DOLL and she loves people of all ages and she loves to eat. She walks well on a leash and is crate trained. She LOVES riding in the car. Bubble does need a little reinforcement in the housetraining area but is doing really well at her foster home and just needs consistency.



 



Bubble needs to eat a low-fat food because she has higher-than-normal triglycerides. Unlike in humans, high triglycerides in dogs does not generally lead to heart disease and is almost always controlled by diet when the levels are like Bubble's. (If they were ten times higher than they are, she would take medication for it). There are both prescription and non-prescription diets that can be used. She is currently eating FirstMate Pet Foods Senior variety which is low fat. She can have regular treats and is otherwise unrestricted. She has no other obvious health concerns.



 



Bubble is fostered in the SF Bay Area of CA and we welcome out of area adopters who travel to us to adopt. We require you to be a part of the process and be willing to work with us to do the adoption. If your expectation is that we deliver her to your doorstep seven states away then we will point you towards a stuffed dog on Amazon instead. We do not utilize volunteer multi-leg transports as they are unregulated and we care too much about our dogs to put them in danger.

Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5


Umbrella of Hope is a non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals off death row from local shelters. We offer rebates of adoption fees after completion of obedience classes and CGC titles. 


Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and given any additional treatments (dental work, bloodwork etc) as recommended by our vet. Some of our senior animals have sponsorships for their food/vet care/medicine for the rest of their life at our vet in Pittsburg, CA (94565)
